Colts Grant Trade Permission for Richardson

The Indianapolis Colts have granted Anthony Richardson permission to seek a trade following the quarterback's loss of the starting job to Daniel Jones.

Richardson, the No. 4 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, has struggled with injuries and performance during his three seasons with the Colts. Despite earlier comments from General Manager Chris Ballard about a potential future with Richardson, the team has decided to move on after Jones secured the starting role for 2025.

Richardson, who turns 24 on May 22, has a career completion rate of 50.6% with 8 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 17 games. His availability on the trade market remains uncertain as few starting-caliber quarterbacks are available in free agency.
