NRL premiership winner Chad Townsend had a 'scary' medical ordeal while flying to Las Vegas for the NRL season opener. The 35-year-old Cronulla Sharks star had to be treated by a doctor mid-flight.

Townsend was en route to Sin City to watch the Cowboys vs Knights and Bulldogs vs Dragons matches scheduled for Sunday.
