Rohit Names 2007 Final as Favorite India-Pak Match

Former India captain Rohit Sharma revealed the 2007 T20 World Cup final remains his most cherished match against Pakistan, while also praising Virat Kohli's incredible comeback in the 2022 edition.

Speaking as the ambassador for the current T20 World Cup, Rohit highlighted two memorable encounters against Pakistan. The 2007 final, which India went on to win, and the dramatic 2022 match where Kohli rescued India from 31/4 after Rohit was dismissed early.

Recalling the 2022 contest at the MCG, Rohit admitted feeling helpless watching from the sidelines: 'When games are this tight, especially when you're off the field and know you can't do anything, it just takes that sense of control away from you.' He described the comeback as 'one of the greatest cricket games we've ever played' due to the World Cup context and the improbability of the victory.
