McLaughlin Secures Pole at St. Petersburg IndyCar Opener

Team Penske's Scott McLaughlin secured the pole position for the season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, clocking a lap of 1:00.5426.

McLaughlin will start from the No. 1 position on Sunday's downtown streets. The driver expressed excitement about the result following a challenging 2025 season. Marcus Ericsson of Andretti Global will join him on the front row, while rookie Dennis Hauger qualified third and four-time champion Alex Palou took fourth.
