Bengals Skip Franchise Tag on Star DE Hendrickson

The Cincinnati Bengals have decided against using the franchise tag on star defensive end Trey Hendrickson, allowing the former All-Pro to hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

Hendrickson has spent the last five seasons in Cincinnati and missed over half of the 2025 season due to injury. Despite his production of 81 career sacks, the team reportedly declined to meet his contract demands.

The former Pro Bowler will now enter his tenth NFL season seeking a new home after the Bengals moved on from the defensive end.
