Arizona Women's Basketball Falls to Colorado in Late Collapse

The Arizona Wildcats women's basketball team suffered a late fourth quarter collapse, losing to Colorado 78-70 despite forcing 25 turnovers and a strong performance from Sumayah Sugapong.

Despite forcing Colorado into 25 turnovers and scoring 31 points off those turnovers, Arizona couldn't hold on late in the game. Sumayah Sugapong led the Wildcats with strong early scoring, hitting four three-pointers in the first half.

Arizona head coach Becky Burke lamented the late-game miscues that cost her team. "We were in a position to win it, and then we did a couple silly things where we gave them some hope," Burke said. Noelani Cornfield had six steals for Arizona, but it wasn't enough as the Buffaloes secured the victory.
