Formel 1-teamet Aston Martin får en marerittaktig start på sesongen. Den nye bilen vibrerer så kraftig at førerne risikerer å bli påført helseproblemer.
Laget klarte blant annet ikke å gjennomføre den siste testhelgen fullt ut som følge av problemer med motoren på bilen.
Nå kommer det nye urovekkende opplysninger om situasjonen.
– Det er jo en gigantisk fiasko, sier Formel 1-ekspert, Atle Guldbrandsen.
Det blir imidlertid verre.
– Det langt større problemet er at vibrasjonen til slutt overføres til førerens fingre. Fernando føler at han ikke kan kjøre mer enn 25 runder på rad før han risikerer permanente nerveskader på hendene, innrømmer Newey.
Dermed bekrefter Newey indirekte at laget hans neppe kommer til å fullføre Australias Grand Prix søndag. Det er ikke forsvarlig for førerne.
Fernando Alonso sier at han etter en del runder i bilen begynner å føle seg «nummen» i hendene.
