After a moral-boosting and hugely vital win against Lyon in Ligue 1 to keep their podium hopes alive, Marseille now turn to their second objective for the end of the season: the Coupe de France. With Paris Saint-Germain no longer in the competition, and Lens facing Lyon at the same stage – OM have one of the best chances to continue their run deep into the competition to attempt to earn their first trophy since 1989. However, Habib Beye confirmed that Les Phocéens will have to do so without three key players on Wednesday evening at a press conference attended by Get French Football News. Amine Gouiri suffered an injury just before kick-off against Lyon, whilst Quinten Timber ended Sunday’s clash with a shoulder injury – Beye confirmed that both will not be able to face Toulouse midweek.

Meanwhile, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is suspended after a yellow card against Stade Brestois triggered an automatic suspension for the Dane, who wore the armband against Lyon on Sunday. Beye has confirmed there will be changes for OM, bit did little to reveal whether first choice goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli would be between the sticks, or second choice Jeffrey De Lange.GFFN | George Boxall – Reporting from La Commanderie, Marseille.
