Report: Commanders to release cornerback Marshon Lattimore

The Washington Commanders are cutting ties with a veteran cornerback.

Marshon Lattimore has been told he will be released when the new league year begins on March 11, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday.

Lattimore, 29, has spent the past season-and-a-half in Washington after a deadline trade from the New Orleans Saints in 2024.

In nine games last season amid injury, the 2017 first-round pick had one interception, one fumble recovery and seven pass deflections.

For his 108-game career, the Ohio State product has 16 interceptions and five forced fumbles.

Washington will save $18.5 million in cap space with the move, per Schefter.
