Who might Iowa women's basketball play in Big Ten Tournament?

With the Big Ten women's basketball regular season concluding on Sunday, the focus for Iowa (24-5, 15-3 Big Ten) and the other 14 qualifying programs now moves to the upcoming conference tournament held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind., from March 4-8.

The league's top 15 programs advanced to the Big Ten Tournament, while Penn State, Northwestern and Rutgers failed to make their way into the tournament bracket.

With its Sunday win at Wisconsin, Iowa earned the No. 2 seed and a coveted double-bye. Iowa can rest until it plays on Friday, March 6, at approximately 5:30 p.m. CT. However, the next question is who Iowa's opponent might be come Friday evening.

According to the bracket, Iowa will play either No. 15 seed Wisconsin (13-16, 5-13 Big Ten), No. 10 seed Illinois (19-10, 9-9 Big Ten), or No. 7 seed Michigan State (22-7, 11-7 Big Ten).

The Hawkeyes finished the regular season on a six-game winning streak. Thanks to its strong close to the regular season, Iowa can utilize the well-earned rest to recharge for its Friday evening matchup and the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
