The Cleveland Browns have defensive ends on their current roster for 2026, such as Isaiah McGuire, Alex Wright, and, of course, Myles Garrett. Only one name keeps offensive coordinators up late at night.

The Browns could use another stud pass rusher.

The defensive tackle position seems ready to take care of its own business, but the outside pass rushing needs another capable body to bookend Garrett. That would become a scary sight to pair with the two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Al-Quadin Muhammadhad a terrific year this past season, highlighted by his 11 sacks. He is a guy who doesn’t get a whole of newsprint but is very productive. He had 26 pressures and 20 QB hits.

Maybe Browns GM Andrew Berry could bring in Muhammad in free agency, which begins on March 9.

No free agent player in this year’s class had more sacks than Muhammad. He can start or become part of a rotational defensive end tandem. He has good physical traits with an explosive burst upfield.

Not a great run stuffer, but he has a high motor. He is known for his speed-to-power moves and is a valued situational pass rusher. Maybe he hasn’t been coached right regarding stopping the run, but that is not a good portion of his talent. But he has high production in rushing the passer. Not a starting DE, but would need to come in on certain passing downs, which he is very good at.

Muhammad provides intense energy and has established himself as a reliable veteran pass rusher. Because he has a lack of speed, he has other tools he uses in order to get around larger offensive linemen. Uses a forceful punch with adequate power.

Has had character issues in the past, which remain a red flag. Lacks man cover talent and is stiff dropping into space. But he can find the quarterback on passing downs. His cap hit last year was $1.2 million.

Projection: Two years, $15 million
