Federico Dimarco continues to be the shining light of Inter Milan’s season, with Tuttosport handing the Italy wing-back their top rating of 7 after yet another match-winning display in the 2-0 victory over Genoa, and producing one of the more memorable lines of the season to describe his current form.
“He is in King Midas form, every ball he touches turns to gold,” the Turin outlet wrote, via FCInterNews, adding that his goal was “a ballistic gem.”
It is the kind of praise that reflects just how consistently brilliant Dimarco has been throughout the campaign, and how central he has become to everything Inter do going forward.
The only two players to fall below the pass mark were Nicolo Barella and Marcus Thuram, both of whom continue to frustrate.

Barella received a 5.5, with Tuttosport acknowledging his initial determination to make amends for recent poor displays but noting he ultimately “got lost in the same old mistakes.”
The outlet added pointedly that he might benefit from a rest.
Thuram fared even worse, picking up a 5.
“The feeling that he continues to play with an indolent attitude remains,” Tuttosport wrote.
“Some acceleration, but without any bite.”
It is a damning assessment of a player who has struggled for form for several weeks now.
The brightest performers outside of Dimarco were De Vrij, Luis Henrique, Mkhitaryan, Calhanoglu, Bonny and Diouf, all earning 6.5s.
Mkhitaryan was particularly praised for setting up Dimarco’s opener and hitting the crossbar.
Despite also picking up a yellow card to cover for a Barella error.
Calhanoglu took his penalty with precision to seal the points.
Bonny showed plenty of energy before limping off with a right calf issue.
A problem which will concern Chivu ahead of the Coppa Italia semi-final.
