Toni Fernandez ruled out for four weeks in another injury blow for Barcelona

Barcelona Atletic’s miserable run of injuries has continued, with Toni Fernandez the latest player to be ruled out for Juliano Belletti’s side.

The teenager has sustained an ankle injury and will miss the next month.

“Barça Atlètic player Toni Fernandez has a syndesmosis injury to his left ankle, which occurred during Wednesday’s match in Castelló. The estimated recovery time will be around four weeks,” the club said in a statement.

Fernandez is the latest player to be ruled out, following news that Jofre Torrents faces 1o-12 weeks on the sidelines with an ankle problem.

The duo join a lengthy injury list that also includes Sama Nomoko, Oscar Gistau, Dani Rodriguez, Ibrahim Diarra, and Landry Farre.

Belletti’s side are currently preparing to face Valencia on Saturday in the league. Despite all ther injuries this season, they remain in the final play-off spot and are just three points behind Baleares in third place.
