The Minnesota Twins did not make a ton of splashes in free agency over the winter. However, they were able to get some smart deals done to help fill some holes.
They added a little power by getting a deal done with Josh Bell and signed catcher Victor Caratini to a two-year contract.
Outside of that, the club focused on adding arms. They signed Taylor Rogers, Liam Hendriks, Julian Merryweather, Andrew Chafin, and added Anthony Banda in a trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

That is quite a few arms to add to the bullpen, but they needed to change things up. Last season, the bullpen combined for a 4.60 ERA, which was the fifth-worst across MLB.
However, even with all these added arms, some are questioning whether they have done enough or not. MLB.com's Matthew Leach also questions the club's late-inning arms, specifically who will be used in what role.
"Have they done enough in the bullpen? The Twins have added a bunch of relievers since camp opened, with Liam Hendricks, Anthony Banda, Andrew Chafin, and Julian Merryweather all brought in. But it's still not clear who the go-to guys in the late innings will be, especially if Hendriks isn't ready by Opening Day. The left side is bolstered for sure, but it's hard not to think they could still use help."
Who will get the ball in high-leverage situations is still unclear, but that is not the only worry coming from the Twins. The starting pitching front took a hit with the news that Pablo Lopez will be out with a UCL tear.
So far, things have not gone too well for the Minnesota faithful. However, they are a scrappy bunch, and they are never a team you can rule out.
