Lorenzo Styles Jr 40 time: Ohio State DB beats younger brother Sonny with NFL combine-best 4.27 originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
While Sonny Styles is a household name, expected to be a top-10 selection in the 2026 NFL draft in April, his older brother Lorenzo Styles Jr. isn't as well-known. He doesn't have nearly the high projection as his younger brother but many still expect Styles Jr. to be at least a Day-3 pick after he showed off his speed at the combine in Indianapolis.
The elder Styles brother posted the fastest time in the 40-yard dash through two days with a blistering 4.27 seconds. While he is likely thrilled with his performance, the icing on top of the cake is that he beat his younger brothers time of 4.46 seconds.

Lorenzo Styles Jr. draft projection
Styles certainly helped his draft stock with his performance. His brother Sonny is the more high-profile player, who is not expected to fall out of the top 10. Lorenzo, on the other hand, is expected to be a Day 3 pick, per Daniel Jeremiah on the Combine broadcast. If that is the case, the earliest that the older Styles would be drafted would be the fourth round. While not as impressive overall as his younger brother, his 40-time could end up pushing him into the end of the third round.
