Former teammate Eli Raridon heaps praise on Notre Dame QB CJ Carr

Notre Dame Fighting Irish quarterback CJ Carr is getting some high praise from former teammate Eli Raridon.

Raridon, a tight end who is headed to the NFL, spoke to the media at the NFL Draft Combine and called Carr "the most elite quarterback" he played with at Notre Dame. Raridon played with quarterbacks such as Riley Leonard, Sam Hartman, Steve Angeli, Tyler Buchner, Drew Pyne and Kenny Minchey during his time, though he wasn't necessarily on the field or in the lineup at the same time as all of them, especially since Raridon missed significant time with injuries.

Raridon also said of Carr: "He’s an incredible leader. I’ve never seen someone prepare so well. He works his butt off…He’s got all the potential in the world to be the No. 1 overall pick."

Raridon is likely to be playing on Sundays next fall -- and barring injury, it seems Carr isn't too far behind.
