Tottenham Hotspur Are Leading The Race For This Real Madrid Winger: One For The Future?

In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for Real Madrid winger Franco Mastantuono. It has been mentioned that Spurs will face competition in the form of Brighton and Hove Albion in the race to sign the Argentine wide player.

Mastantuono’s Impressive Form In Spanish Football

Mastantuono has enjoyed a good run of form at the Madrid club as he has produced a few impressive displays for them in the final third. The Argentine talent has scored three goals and grabbed one assist in 24 matches for Los Blancos this season across all fronts.

The 18-year-old is currently among the most gifted young wingers in European football. Therefore, Spurs will do well to win the race for his services this summer.

His current contract at the Madrid club will expire in the summer of 2031, which could make it tough for Tottenham to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Tottenham Hotspur Are Leading The Race For Mastantuono: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Mastantuono is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net. He can strike the ball with power from long range and can chip in by scoring or creating the odd goal for his team from the wide areas.

The Argentine talent is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also function as an attacking midfielder if told to do so. However, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the physical style and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to get a deal done for him next summer.

Mastantuono would bring more quality and depth to Tottenham boss Igor Tudor’s frontline in the long run. He is more than capable of challenging for a regular first-team place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming years.

At 18, Mastantuono has got the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each season. All in all, he is a prospect to watch out for in the long run, so Spurs should focus on snapping him up later this year.
