Patriots executive vague on Stefon Diggs' future with the team

New England Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf was vague regarding the team’s intentions with wide receiver Stefon Diggs this offseason.

Diggs played his first season for the Patriots in 2025. He recorded his seventh-career 1,000-yard season with 1,013 receiving yards. He helped the Patriots reach the Super Bowl and finished as a finalist for the 2025 AP Comeback Player of the Year award, after missing the final nine games of the 2024 regular season with the Houston Texans due to a torn ACL suffered in the Texans’ 23-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8.

However, his injury history, as well as his substandard 27.5 receiving yards per game in the 2025 playoffs, raised questions about his future with the Patriots.

According to MassLive’s Mark Daniels, Wolf did not specify the Patriots’ plans for Diggs for this offseason.

"I'm not going to get into any specific players today,” Wolf said. “You know, there are certain conversations that that we're having, and we'll see what happens with everything."

Diggs is approaching the second year of the three-year, $63.5 million deal he signed with New England before the start of last season. He remains the Patriots’ leading receiver, as well as one of only 19 1,000-yard wide receivers in the NFL from 2025.
