UNC struggles without Veesaar, Wilson in loss to N.C. State

North Carolina suffered a 82-58 loss to N.C. State, their largest defeat to the Wolfpack since 1982, as the team grapples with the absence of key players Henri Veesaar and Caleb Wilson.

The Tar Heels shot season lows (19-for-60 overall, 5-for-32 from deep) and allowed N.C. State to shoot 50% from beyond the arc. The loss exposed the difficulty of replacing Veesaar and Wilson, who are both out due to injuries—Wilson with a fractured hand and Veesaar with a calf issue. With the frontcourt stretched thin, the guards are now forced to shoulder the scoring load.
