Mike Wagner, who played a significant role in the Pittsburgh Steelers' championship teams of the 1970s, has died at age 76. The Steelers announced the news without providing a cause of death.
Wagner, drafted in the 11th round in 1971, recorded interceptions in the Steelers' first two Super Bowl victories (IX and X) and was part of four championship teams. He finished his career with 36 interceptions and two Pro Bowl nods over 10 seasons with the team.
