Scotland and England fans face pricey World Cup travel to Boston

Scottish and English fans attending World Cup matches in Boston face a massive price hike for train travel, with round-trip tickets costing $80 compared to the usual $17.50.

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) has announced that tickets from South Station to Foxborough will cost $80, nearly five times the standard rate. Scotland and England fans face paying this premium for group-stage games, including Scotland vs Haiti and England vs Ghana.

Paul Goodwin from the Scottish Football Supporters Association called the increase "totally out of order," warning of financial strain. Ticket sales begin Wednesday.
