San Jose beats Sporting KC 3-0 in MLS opener with Munie's brace

Daniel Munie scored two goals to lead the San Jose Earthquakes to a 3-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City in their season-opening MLS match on Saturday.

Daniel Munie and Preston Judd each scored four minutes apart just before halftime, with Munie adding a second goal in the 54th minute to seal the 3-0 win.

San Jose dominated statistically, outshooting Sporting Kansas City 18-7. The Quakes won despite the club undergoing a major overhaul following a last-place finish in the Western Conference last season.
