Daniel Peretz, the Israeli goalkeeper on loan from Bayern Munich, helped Southampton defeat Arsenal 2-1 in the FA Cup quarter‑finals, sending the Championship club to the semi‑finals.

Peretz made several key saves to keep Southampton in front, including a last‑minute penalty save that sealed the 2‑1 win over Premier League giants Arsenal. The result sent the Championship side to the FA Cup semi‑finals at Wembley.

The goalkeeper also drew attention with a Guardian interview in which he spoke about family in Tel Aviv amid air‑raid sirens, the therapeutic role of football during wartime, and his admiration for Bayern’s Manuel Neuer. He remains on loan from Bayern with Southampton holding a buy option.
