Panthers eye Klubnik as Young's backup

ESPN projects Panthers could land 5-star QB Cade Klubnik in sixth round to provide depth behind starter Bryce Young.

According to ESPN's Ben Solak, the Carolina Panthers may target Clemson's Cade Klubnik in the sixth round of the NFL Draft to address their quarterback depth behind Bryce Young. With Andy Dalton traded to the Eagles and only Kenny Pickett currently as a backup, Klubnik could provide much-needed support.

Klubnik, an ex-five-star recruit with a strong arm and solid mechanics, might be available at pick 200. Despite struggles with timing and anticipation in college, coach Dave Canales has a history of developing quarterbacks, making this potentially a good fit for the Panthers.
