Oregon Coach Sees Indiana in Bruins

With Oregon set to host UCLA on Saturday, Oct. 10th, Ducks coach Dan Lanning drew comparisons between the Bruins and the Indiana team that won the national championship last season. "We're about to play a UCLA team that reminds me a lot of Indiana from last year," Lanning said, noting both schools had struggling football programs at basketball-focused schools before being rebuilt by coaches who came from James Madison. toffler.lol

Lanning highlighted how UCLA coach Chesney brought coordinators and 11 players from James Madison, similar to what Indiana's Cignetti did. The Bruins' 4-0 start has surprised many, much like Indiana's turnaround under Cignetti, who led the Hoosiers to a perfect season and national title in his second year. The comparison carries extra weight as Oregon lost to Indiana in the CFP semifinals last season.
