No. 3 Maryland Survives St. Joseph's 17-15

No. 3 Maryland women's lacrosse survived a gritty 17-15 victory over St. Joseph's on Friday, overcoming tired legs and a high shot total to secure the win.

Despite battling fatigue and a porous defense that allowed 42 shots, the Terps relied on efficient scoring and goalie JJ Suriano to edge out the Hawks 17-15. Eight different players scored in the first half, including Keeley Block, Ava Meyn, and Kristen Shanahan, while Suriano made seven saves.

Maryland struggled with ground balls and unforced turnovers in the second half but held St. Joseph's scoreless for the final two minutes to seal the victory. Captains Jordyn Lipkin and Kori Edmondson contributed late, and the Terps' strong clear in the first quarter set the early tone.
