Keider Montero delivered a quality start, allowing one run over six innings to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 5-1 victory over the Texas Rangers.

Montero allowed just one run on five hits over 6 2/3 innings, lowering his ERA to 3.48. Dillon Dingler provided the early offense with a 443-foot three-run home run in the second inning. The Tigers (17-17) won despite second baseman Gleyber Torres exiting early with left side tightness.
