The Iowa Cubs secured a 6-2 victory over the Louisville Bats to extend their winning streak to five games. Vince Velazquez tossed five strong innings to earn the win.

Vince Velazquez started and allowed just one run over five innings, striking out seven to secure the win. Tyler Santana followed with three shutout innings of relief.

Offensively, James Triantos went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a stolen base, while Kevin Alcántara and Chas McCormick each homered in the victory.
