Holmes, Myers lead Mets to 9-0 shutout over Giants

Clay Holmes and Tobias Myers combined on a three‑hit shutout, propelling the Mets to a 9‑0 win over the Giants.

Holmes pitched a career‑high seven innings, allowing only three hits and one walk while striking out four. Myers finished the game by retiring the final six batters in order, giving the Mets their first shutout of the season.

Mark Vientos had three hits, while Tyrone Taylor hit a pinch‑run three‑run homer that accounted for four of the nine runs. Marcus Semien, Bo Bichette and Brett Baty each had two hits.
