Edgar Canet achieved a remarkable victory in the Rally of Morocco, the second most important rally-raid event, by defeating favorite Daniel Sanders in the final stage. The 21-year-old KTM rider from La Garriga trailed Sanders by 1:31 before the decisive 259km stage, which included 70km of neutralized sections.
Despite being the underdog, Canet's determination paid off as he claimed his first World Championship podium. "My first podium in the World Championship would already be incredible," Canet had said before the final stage, showing his confidence despite the challenging position. tr-sport.click
