Cain Velasquez, the former UFC heavyweight champion who also appeared in WWE and AAA, was released on parole after serving 11 months behind bars. He pleaded no contest to charges including attempted murder stemming from a 2022 shooting that hit an unintended target.
Velasquez had been sentenced to five years but was credited with 1,283 days, including house arrest after bail. He is now pursuing a civil case against the man he intended to shoot, while his criminal trial remains pending.
