BYU Offense Focuses on Key Returners Ahead of Spring Ball

The BYU Cougars are preparing for spring ball with key offensive returners Bear Bachmeier and LJ Martin expected to lead the team once again.

Fresh off a 12-2 season that included a Big 12 title game appearance, BYU looks to build on their success in 2026. Quarterback Bear Bachmeier, who passed for 3,033 yards and 15 touchdowns while running for 527 yards and 11 scores, returns as the undisputed signal caller. Running back LJ Martin, who earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors with 1,305 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, also returns for his senior season.

The offense will likely run through this dynamic duo once again as spring practices approach in the coming weeks.
