A small group of traveling Atletico Madrid fans mimicked Islamophobic chants ahead of their Champions League tie against Barcelona, mirroring recent racist incidents in Spanish football.

Video evidence captured the supporters repeating the chant heard outside the Bernabeu and at the RCDE Stadium. This follows a disturbing trend where Spanish football has faced scrutiny for racism, including recent abuse directed at stars like Lamine Yamal.

FIFA has opened an investigation into previous racist incidents during the Spain vs Egypt friendly.
