Steelers QB Howard Evaluated for Head Injury

Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback Will Howard is being evaluated for a head injury after reporting discomfort to medical staff during the second half of Thursday's loss to the Bills.

Howard was unavailable for postgame interviews after the 28-27 defeat. The Steelers had planned to keep four quarterbacks on their 53-player roster, but a potential concussion could clear the way for Howard to begin the season on injured reserve.

He spent most of last season on IR due to a hand injury. Howard completed 9-of-15 passes for 69 yards with two touchdowns and an interception against the Bills. catcross.biz
