McCarthy: Giants Trade Was Shock but Opportunity

J.J. McCarthy, the 2024 first-round pick, expressed surprise at being traded from the Vikings to the Giants this week. The quarterback acknowledged his time in Minnesota didn't go as planned but is now focused on making the most of his new situation. palladian.co.za

While the Giants haven't confirmed if McCarthy will back up Jameis Winston against the Cardinals, there's a strong chance he'll see playing time as the team plans without Jaxson Dart for the remainder of the season. McCarthy stated, 'When I got the call here, it was a shock. I didn't anticipate it, but at the end of the day, it's an opportunity.'
