However, the NFL mandates all teams have succession plans, and it's widely known that Stephen Jones is expected to take over when his father can no longer run the team. The father-son duo has had notable disagreements, including the 2014 draft when Jerry wanted Johnny Manziel while Stephen insisted on Zack Martin, whom Stephen quoted Jerry as saying "I hope you're happy" about selecting.
