Harbaugh Backs McDaniel Amid Offensive Struggles

Despite the Los Angeles Chargers ranking 20th in offense with quarterback Justin Herbert's 73.4 passer rating (26th in NFL), Harbaugh stated, "No, we trust Mike. We believe in Mike." The team has more turnovers (six) than touchdowns (five) this season. goldparty.lat

Harbaugh has publicly criticized Herbert's decision-making but has not directed similar criticism at McDaniel, who was hired this offseason to add a dynamic element to the offense. Herbert defended his coordinator, saying, "He's definitely a guy that we need to lean on; he's done such an incredible job."
