49ers Release LB Deion Jones

The San Francisco 49ers have released linebacker Deion Jones, who was recently acquired from the Saints in a trade for running back Zamir White.

The 49ers are cutting ties with Jones just months after acquiring him from the Saints, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jones was a second-round pick of the Falcons in 2016 and made the Pro Bowl in his second season.

The veteran linebacker has played for six NFL teams during his career, including the Falcons (6 years), Browns, Panthers, Buccaneers, and Saints. In total, Jones has 128 regular-season appearances and 91 starts to his name. tbzikra.org
