Trae Young Nears Wizards Debut, Anthony Davis Still Recovering

Trae Young is getting closer to his Washington Wizards debut after an MCL sprain and thigh bruise, while Anthony Davis remains in rehab and not yet ready for practice.

The Wizards say 27‑year‑old Trae Young will ramp up basketball activities to continue his recovery from an MCL sprain and a thigh bruise, and will be evaluated next week. He last played on Dec. 27 and has been practicing in one‑on‑one and two‑on‑two drills.

Anthony Davis, 32, last played on Jan. 8 after rehabbing ligament damage in his hand. He is still in Washington following a visit to hand surgeon Steven Shin and will be reevaluated in two weeks.
