Yahoo SportThe Los Angeles Lakers are awaiting MRI results for Austin Reaves to determine his availability for Sunday's matchup against the Dallas Mavericks. Head coach JJ Redick revealed that a second scan was necessary because the Mavericks initially imaged the wrong area.
Reaves suffered a rib or back injury during Thursday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder but returned to finish with 15 points. Redick clarified that the injury is more intercostal than back-related.
Reaves has not been ruled out yet, though his status remains uncertain. Additionally, Marcus Smart's availability for Sunday is also to be determined due to an ankle injury.
