The 2026 Rams have eleven captains
For the Rams, it's just as easy to list the players who aren't captains as it is to list those who are. sportbet.rodeo
The team has announced a whopping eleven captains for 2026.
They are: quarterback Matthew Stafford, running back Kyren Williams, receiver Davante Adams, tight end Tyler Higbee, center Coleman Shelton, defensive end Myles Garrett, defensive tackle Kobie Turner, linebacker Nate Landman, cornerback Trent McDuffie, defensive back Quentin Lake, and long snapper Joe Cardona.
Few if any teams have ever had that many captains. For whatever reasons, the Rams have decided to have that many players with a "C" on their jerseys.
Conspicuous in their omission are defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who is returning after a two-year retirement, and receiver Puka Nacua, one of the best receivers in the NFL.
Locker-room attack put TCU receiver in hospital for three days
Football is premised in many respects on controlled violence. The emotions of the game can lead to uncontrolled violence, and that can create a major problem for players and teams.
At TCU, a locker-room fight earlier this month resulted in the dismissal of safety Jacob Fields. It also resulted in very serious injuries for TCU receiver Dozie Ezukanma.
Via Shambhavi Rimal of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Ezukanma spent three days in a hospital with a concussion and a brain bleed after the August 13 attack.
The delayed transport of Ezukanma to the hospital apparently made the situation worse. After multiple brain scans and with treatment (including medication), doctors finally got the situation under control.
Fields was charged on Sunday with aggravated assault for allegedly punching and kicking Ezukanma in the head.
The assault was reported to TCU police on August 14. Fields was expelled from the team the next day, and the move was announced three days later.
Fields, after the incident, said the following in a text message: “I made an emotional decision cause how I felt I played the last few practices. . . . I’ll pay every hospital bill and then some to make this right.”
He'll be facing far greater consequences than that, and if he did what he's accused of doing, he should.
Aubameyang on Fire: Three Goals in Three Games for Deportivo
The veteran forward, known for his extravagant style including custom Swarovski boots and a million-euro Ferrari, is now a local hero in A Coruña. His performances have silenced doubts about his age and ability, with the club recently returning to the top flight after two years in the third division.
Despite his celebrity status, Aubameyang is integrating well, often seen playing with teenagers at the historic sports complex, earning the nickname "one of ours" from local veterans.
