The Philadelphia Eagles will be under the microscope in 2026, perhaps more than any other team in the NFL. After winning Super Bowl LIX, the Eagles' offense was one of the worst in the league. And even though they won the NFC East, they were eliminated in the wild card round by the San Francisco 49ers

This has led to speculation on the job security for both Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts - so much so that Conor Orr of Sports Illustrated predicts that the Eagles will draft a quarterback in 2026.

The Eagles will draft a quarterback in the second round," Orr writes. "And bring on all the speculation that entails. Welcome to Philadelphia, Sean Mannion!"

Hurts' play earned the loud criticism he received in 2025. Of the 45 quarterbacks who had at least 150 plays, he finished 26th in success rate. He also finished 20th in QBR.

In terms of who the Eagles could potentially draft in the second round, Drew Allar out of Penn State could be a name to keep an eye on. He was once projected as the potential No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but a down season and an ankle injury has sent him into Day Two projections.
