Norwich City and Republic of Ireland defender Ruairi McConville believes they can reach the play-offs under head coach Philippe Clement.
The Canaries were among the teams tipped to challenge for promotion this season but were second from bottom in November when Clement replaced Liam Manning.
Nine wins from their last 13 league matches have taken Norwich up to 17th, nine points off the top six and seven points clear of the bottom three with 14 matches to play.
"Fans will get excited," McConville told BBC Radio Norfolk. "Yes, we still have a job to secure our safety in the division, but the best way to do that is to look ahead and look for the play-offs.
"We must take it one game at a time, and it's a tough one on Saturday with an in-form Birmingham City. If we can get past that, we'll keep looking ahead and try and push up the table.
"Who knows what will happen? Hopefully it ends with us being in the play-offs, but we're ready for any challenge."
Norwich have lost just five of the 18 matches since former Rangers manager Clement took over, and McConville says the impact has been remarkable: "It's him as a person. Ever since he's walked in the door, he's gained that respect from every player, and we all want to win for him.
"He's brought that confidence back into the team, me especially. He's helped me get from rock bottom to where I am now, and I'm forever grateful for that.
"He does all the little things on and off the pitch, and all the things he sees in my game - being a centre-back himself - he's never afraid to tell me about things in my game I can improve. I know he's going to make a better player."
McConville, 20, arrived in February 2025 from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion but made just eight appearances under Johannes Hoff Thorup and then interim head coach Jack Wilshere.
He was limited to two starts under Manning this season but has quickly become one of the first names on the team sheet under Clement.
He was also made captain for their FA Cup fourth-round victory over West Bromwich Albion.
"It's been a quick turnaround. I've always tried to get this opportunity in the team and get this run of games. Since I signed, I've never really got to build that momentum and get my confidence back.
"I'm just grateful that I'm able to do that now and keep doing it. I'm well aware it can change again; injuries can happen, so I'm just trying to take care of my body and hopefully stay in the team and climb up the table."
