Warriors’ Stephen Curry to be re-evaluated in 10 days, miss five more games

Stephen Curry will remain on the shelf for a little while longer.

The Golden State Warriors star will be re-evaluated in 10 days due to his persistent right knee injury, the team announced on Thursday.

Curry has been dealing with patella-femoral pain syndrome/bone bruising. The Warriors added that the star guard underwent an MRI on Wednesday that showed no structural damage.

The timeline will keep Curry sidelined for at least five more games.

Curry has been out since Jan. 30 with the ailment, missing the Warriors’ last five games before the all-star break and also sitting out the All-Star Game.

The 37-year-old has appeared in 39 games this season, averaging 27.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists while shooting 39.1 per cent from three.

The Warriors have been bitten by the injury bug this season. Jimmy Butler has already been ruled out for the remainder of the year with a torn right ACL.

Golden State sits eighth in the West at 29-26.
